EVENT 2.0

Privacy notice and imprint

Last updated 8 November 2026 · Version 2026-11-08.2

1. Who we are

event20.app is the website of EVENT 2.0, an event marketplace in development by DDS Services Kft. (“we”), which is the data controller for this website. For any privacy question, write to info@event20.app.

2. What we process

This is an informational website without user accounts. We process only:

  • Technical logs. When you open a page, our hosting and content-delivery provider (Amazon Web Services) records standard request data: IP address, time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser type. We use these logs to run and secure the site and to count visits. They are deleted automatically after 90 days.
  • E-mail. If you write to us, we process your address and your message to reply.
  • Pre-registration. If you pre-register as an event professional or as an event organizer, the details you enter (see section 9 and section 10).
  • Analytics, only if you accept it (see section 3).

3. Cookies and analytics

We set no cookies unless you accept them. If you choose “Accept” in the cookie notice, we load Google Analytics, provided on our behalf by Google Ireland Ltd. It sets two cookies whose names start with _ga, which hold a random identifier for up to 2 years, and collects statistical information about how the site is used, such as the pages viewed, the device type and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google Analytics doesn’t store your IP address. We use it only to understand and improve the site; we don’t run advertising or build profiles. Google Analytics keeps this data for up to 14 months. Your choice is saved in your browser, and you can change it at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Google may process this data in the United States; such transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

The site may send you to its Hungarian or English version based on your browser’s language setting. Nothing is stored on your device for this.

4. Legal bases

Technical logs and e-mail rest on our legitimate interest in running, securing and measuring the site and in replying to you (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Analytics rests on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time. For pre-registrations, see sections 9 and 10.

5. Recipients

We don’t sell your data. We share it only with these providers, which act on our behalf: Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL (hosting, database and content delivery) and Google Ireland Ltd. (our e-mail service and, if you have accepted analytics, Google Analytics). Their affiliates outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States, may be involved; such transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

6. Retention

Technical logs: 90 days. E-mail: as long as needed to handle your request. Pre-registrations: see sections 9 and 10.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your personal data, its correction or deletion, the restriction of processing and data portability, and you can object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interest. Where processing rests on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to info@event20.app; we reply within one month. We don’t make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH, 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9–11, naih.hu) or turn to a court, including the regional court (törvényszék) where you live.

8. Changes

We’ll update this notice when the site changes. The date at the top shows the current version.

9. Pre-registration for event professionals

What we collect: business name, contact name, business e-mail address, phone number (optional), main service, city, country, service area, website or social profile (optional), a short description (optional), how you heard about us (optional), the language and source of the page you used (for example a QR code), the time of submission, and both consent choices together with the version of this notice. The fields not marked optional and the consent to be contacted are needed to pre-register; without them we can’t record your pre-registration.

Why: to contact you about your pre-registration and the opening of vendor registration, to understand which professionals are interested, and to spot duplicate entries. If you also asked for news, to send you occasional news about EVENT 2.0. A pre-registration doesn’t create an account or a public profile, and nothing you enter is published.

Legal basis: your consent, given with the checkboxes (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw either consent at any time by writing to info@event20.app; this doesn’t affect processing that happened before. Abuse protection and the duplicate check rest on our legitimate interest in protecting the form from abuse and keeping the list accurate (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)); you can object to them (section 7).

Who sees it: only authorised members of the EVENT 2.0 team at DDS Services Kft.. The data are stored with Amazon Web Services in the EU (Frankfurt). We don’t sell them or pass them to anyone for their own purposes.

How long: your pre-registration until vendor registration opens and we have told you about it, but no longer than 2 years after you pre-registered. If you asked for news, we keep your name, e-mail address and the record of your consent for that until you unsubscribe; every news e-mail has an unsubscribe link. Either way, we delete your data sooner if you withdraw your consent or ask us to. Deleted data leaves our backups within 35 days.

Abuse protection: to limit repeated submissions, we use a one-way, salted hash of your IP address for 2 hours; it is then deleted automatically, normally within a few days. Your IP address is not stored with your pre-registration.

On paper or by e-mail: if you pre-register on paper (for example at an event) or by e-mail, we enter your details into the same list for you, and everything in this section applies.

Your rights in section 7 apply. To see, correct or delete your pre-registration, write to info@event20.app.

10. Pre-registration for event organizers

What we collect: your name and e-mail address. Optionally: who you’re organizing for, the type of event, its rough timing, city and country, the services you might need and how you heard about us. We also record the language and source of the page you used, the time of submission, and both consent choices together with the version of this notice. We don’t ask for your phone number, address, budget or date of birth. Your name, e-mail address and the consent to be contacted are needed to pre-register; without them we can’t record your pre-registration.

Why: to let you know when organizers can join EVENT 2.0, to contact you about your pre-registration, to understand what kinds of events people are planning, and to spot duplicate entries. If you also asked for news, to send you occasional news about EVENT 2.0.

Not shared with vendors: a pre-registration doesn’t create an account or an event listing. Your details aren’t shown to vendors or to anyone outside the EVENT 2.0 team, and we don’t sell them.

Age: pre-registration is for people aged 16 or over.

Legal basis and storage are the same as in section 9: your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time, and our legitimate interest for abuse protection and the duplicate check (Article 6(1)(f)). The data are stored with Amazon Web Services in the EU (Frankfurt). A pre-registration on paper or by e-mail is entered into the same list.

How long: your pre-registration until organizers can join and we have told you, but no longer than 2 years after you pre-registered. If you asked for news, we keep your name, e-mail address and the record of your consent for that until you unsubscribe; every news e-mail has an unsubscribe link. Either way, we delete your data sooner if you withdraw your consent or ask us to. Deleted data leaves our backups within 35 days. The salted IP hash used against abuse is handled as described in section 9.

Your rights in section 7 apply. To see, correct or delete your pre-registration, write to info@event20.app.
